can sombody construct for me a round tank aprox 25'' diameter and 7 '' height made of aluminium or plastic to use on wvo

i will find a place on the side, this is not a big deal ,in Europe all the cars almost keep the spare oposite driver in the back, and i will intend to construct a dispositive to keep it secure

May be easier to modify one of these rather than have one built ($$). It's pretty much as you desire already, made for oil, and available at most auto parts stores.

Someone mentioned the effects of some veggie oil on rubber parts... so it may be that some plastics are better suited for this than others..... but of course I think Aluminum would be first choice for being able to be made by normal weldors...I think most plastic things are injection molded... pretty hard to do for most people....

What you need is already made and cheap. Check out http://www.tempoproducts.com/belowtank.html
These are the same type of tanks that greasel.com, etc. sell with the heating coil mounted/installed. They are polyethelene, designed for fuel use, can be fitted with senders for gauges and have quite a wide selection. I would suggest a thin, long tank that fits up against the factory tank for minimum loss of trunk space and the spare stays where it belongs. RT

I whant to thank you guys for all the efort in answering my plea but in case anybody nows somebody which can helpme i will apreciate.
In the mean time you should ceck this site for transforming your diesel to run on waste vegetabil oil and diesel,do not be afraid , a lot of people already did this whith excelent results better than diesel. Those guys have a verry good forum same like this one and verry often mercedes name apear there.
All the mercedes pre 1985 are in fact the best for conversion

I agree that these older MB diesels are well suited to WVO. I'm having great success with a two tank setup in my '84 300Dt. So far injectors look great and everything is working as intended. I've got a 12 gallon tank up against the front of the trunk near the stock tank - with objective of keeping weight forward. I'm going to switch to a larger tank (12 gallons isn't enough for a Benz!) and get one that is longer, taller, and thinner so it is right up against the front of the trunk, extending as far as possible left to right. Again, objective is to keep weight as far forward as possible while retaining trunk space.

Good luck with your conversion. Remember that the best thing you can do is settle and filter the WVO BEFORE it goes in your tank. Otherwise you'll be cleaning or changing fuel filters...trust me!
