Vacuum - Trans Clunk
First thanks for those that offered suggestions on the routing of the vacuum lines.
I tired to study the images sent to me, and I guess I can't quite make out the images. At present, it seems to upshift ok, put when coming to a stop the 2-1 downshift goes CLUNK. It didn't do this prior to the vacuum work I did, however upshifts were to quick and slipppppppppppppppppppped with the 23 and 34 shifts. Any help appreciated. Thanks btw this is a 80/81 TD-T. |

Good chance that you may have a bad mount either on the tranny or more likely the rear end. They are usually not a critical item until they fail....
If you can inspect them to see their conditionitmight help you. I got to a local independant shop ecery other oil change and let him do it. It costs 49.95 but he does a safety check and any items that I notice like this I ask him about and he looks into them for me. If he finds something I often fix it myself and then the next time it's in for the change he looks things over again.

My 83 has all three of those symptoms (flare goes away when warm). I just need to take the time to adjust everything correctly. I know my regulating valve (the one on the IP) doesn't have the range it should have.
What changes did you make to the system? http://transmission.articles.mbz.org/adjust
