better lights in the dash

anyone with the dash style i have knows the dash lighting is mediocre at best, and that the dimmers go bad after a while.

i decided to kill 2 birds with one stone.

first i took out the dash (u guys seem leet enough to know how it just slides out), disconnected some things, and took off the dimmer completly. then i used the coil inside it to bridge a connection between the two prongs b/c im cheap and didnt have any wire at the moment (i just wraped it over and over.

well it worked better but i like cool things so im working on the other bird at the moment. I'm building a LED assembly that will supply 11,000mcd of blazing white light to the dash (thru the light ducts).

I'll take a picture when i'm done but you have to agree that the lighting in there is pretty pitiful.

Try using the search function sometime, and you will find someone else has used the LED's before, so if you run into problems, that thread might have some useful information.

thanks 123... i found it.

i didnt see anything in either of the threads about completly removing the dimmer and bridging the prongs, a process i would highly recomend, as the rotary switch is pretty impossible to work with.
