small perforation on back muffler
I have a small perforation that looks like a nail hole in the middle of the sheet metal of my rear muffler. I happened to notice it when I was putting in a new differential mount this weekend.
The hole had some soot around it, so I assume there is some leakage. Is there an easy fix (I don't have welding equipment, maybe this is a good excuse to get a mapp torch)? JB weld is only good to 500 degrees, which doesn't sound high enough. I only found a couple of references to tape on the web. I realize that this is really a trivial problem so there is no urgency. Anyone know of any easy solutions?
