Mobil 1 at Walmart

I went to Walmart to get some Mobil 1 Engine oil in the 5 quart container for $18.88 and only 5W30 and 10W30 were available. I wanted 15W50 which is the only one I use.

Has anyone found that 15W50 in the 5 quart container is available in their Walmart?

PEH,

Yes, the Walmart here in CT where I live carries 15w-50 in the big 5 quart jugs, but not all the time. They also tend to hide it on the top shelf, sometimes behind other brands being stored there. I figured I found some guys stash once looking up there, and did it as a matter of course thereafter.

Good luck, hope this helps, Jim

was marked as intro at mine

PEH,

I posted about 2 weeks ago about getting it at Walmart (in NC). They had it marked as an "intro" item, so it must be new for this store. You might ask the manager to order some.

My experience with Wal-Mart is that the prices are good, but supply can be very sporadic. I always buy their store brand oil (changed every 2,000), and the two weights I buy can be out of stock for months, literally!
This means that when the oils are in stock I always buy enough to get me through a couple of oil changes. My $0.02

It depends on the day. They don't seem to keep it stocked consistently, but I've bought it there.

Have a great day,

I've found BJ's, Sam's, Costco to be the best source for various oils. I use Rotella but the BJ's near me also has M1 15/40 (or 50).

The Wal-Mart in Stroudsburg, PA had a huge supply of the 15w-50 oil in the big jugs... I bought 2. They didnt have it at first, but I guess they got some in with other oils (they had all three viscosities at one point), and the others sold out, but the 15w-50 remains. I havent been there for about 3 weeks now, but they definitely had it.
