The drive dynamic seats will be nice if you're planning on driving long distances.

Regarding the roof, the dealer should have examples of both in stock. This seems like something you need to check out in person. Seems like the panoramic might me nice in Colorado. I wouldn't do it in Florida because the sun is just too brutal here.

As for the colors, I hope that interior color is not the same silly electric blue that I saw in a new C class at Amelia this year. That has to be the ugliest color I've seen in a long time. Make sure you see the colors on a car in person before you order. Brochures and computer rendered pictures are not suitable for this purpose.

ohcaptainron,

When will you be taking possession of the car? I am anxious to hear of your experience with performance, reliability and cost of ownership. Do you drive many miles each year?

Car should be available at the factory approx second week in Nov. I am planning a short vacation about a week or so, up to Bremerhaven to see friends then a quick trip to Rotterdam where I will drop the car for shipment back to the US, about 6 weeks later should be delivered to my front door.
I have driven the car last month in Germany for about a week, really impressive, I have been driving Mercedes mostly diesels for the last 25 years and nothing compares to this vehicle, except the E400CDI which as of right now will not be brought into the US.
The 320 CDI 204hp 0-60 7.8 seconds stock, with the BRAUBUS reprogram horsepower goes to 255hp 515 ftlbs 0-60 goes to 6.7, needless to say mine will be chipped. Millage 35 combined.
Car will only be availble in 45 states , NY, CA amoung those not getting the car, until the low sulfer fuel is available.
As you can tell I am excited. Any other questions let me know.

Captainron,
Congrats on the new car purchase!
After reading the list of cars you have, I read in your profile that you were an airline pilot and was happy to think that the industry is still able to support such nice luxuries.
I hope to land and airline job when I get out of the military, as right now I'm just checking into Meridian, MS to be an instructor in the T-45C. I'm not sure if I'l get out at 12 years (3.5 years from now) and try for an airline job, or stay 20, collect retirement from the military, and then get an airline job.
Anyway, good luck with the new wheels when you get 'em. I hope to get one some day too.

Go with what color you really like the best. Don't worry if it is the same as your other cars. I would have to study the options in detail before I could render an opinion. But the sports package would be a definate.

edit- I like steel over my head not glass. I special ordered my 350 without a sunroof and it came with one. Dealer could not re-order because my car was on the last shipment to the US. All he could do is give it to me N/C. More headroom without one, safer in a crash, and cooler in summertime.

Yeah, can I stop by and drive your car when I come up to Denver in December to vist family??? J/K

Enjoy the car. I'd love to buy one for myself, but the price of admission is just out of my league right now.
