How to test blower motor?
Hi,
I would liek to test out my blower motor, to see if it is the culpriot that is blowing my fuses. It blows fine when it doesnt pop fuses, but its something to look at, as the fuse heats up really hot when I up the blower speed. I have read from various posts about hotwiring the blower motor to the battery. I can do that. However, I dont know much about testing electronics, and besides seeing if it works (I guess it would blow high speed?) is there any other info I can get from doing this? Also, can anyone tell me about the resistor pack for the blower motor? Its a square bon of spring looking curls apparently? I have it on the front pasengers side wheelwell. It looks fine, but it definitely heats up. If one of those resistors failed, could that cause the #8 fuse to blow or make the blower pull too much power? Thanks JMH
