IP Adjustment for starting ease??
Would adjusting the IP timing help a 617 start easier??? All the glow plugs work although the light goes out after a few seconds but they are still getting power. The engine still starts hard. Has 187,000 miles on it. More questions to follow WITH pics!

Advancing my IP actually made it take abnout 1/3 second longer of cranking to start. Do a search for my forum name to find more info about this.

I would try something simple like adjusting the valves if you haven't already. That can make a big difference!
