Corn Squeezins

The fuel gauge in the 240D was lower than I'd ever seen it when I left home to go to church (and my favorite Hess station) last night. So I grabbed 3 bottles of Mazola corn oil from the pantry, "just in case." Sure enough, half way there she lost power, sputtered, and conked out. I managed to coast into a parking lot. Poured the corn oil in the tank, popped the hood and pumped the primer until I felt the filter fill up, and zoom zoom.

Without this forum, I would have been stranded on the side of the road. Of course, without this forum I never would have had the courage to buy the 240D in the first place. Just wanted to share.

Thanks, Mercedesshop folks!
