92 300D 2.5 turbo belt tensioner spring or?

I have heard a small rattle (like a cat purring). I have used a hose to find out the location of the noise. It is not a metal screeching sounding noise.

The noise came from the belt tensioner or spring. At idle it is not there. When I hit the accelerator I quickly hear it and then it goes away.

I am planning to replace the drive belt tensioner and the spring. Is there a test or a rec. to replace any item once I am there?

I have saved a lot of money and TIME with all of your help.
