You would think BMW would be smart like most car mfg's and make the unleaded tank filler not able to accept the larger diesel nozzle.

With today's child abuse paranoia you might have been able to call the authorities.

You also may have been able to call BMW and report care abuse

I doubt if the fuel ruined anything except her fine day.

If only her personality could be drained as easily as her tank and fuel system.

Some machinery is easier to get along with than people.

I bet it sounded like a diesel just before it died.

Actually, you could have 'done' something.

1) Her swearing at her children was undeniably abuse. You have moral and legal obligation (in Texas at least) to report her to CPS.

2) She verbally assaulted and threatened you with battery (the Mace) when you were only attempting to be a Good Samaritan. Both are actionable offenses.

I do believe I would have taken her license plate number, called the Police and, courtesy of the "thin blue line", provided her with little time to cool off and something to really think about.

destruction

Hello gs sparhawk
Called a friend, BMW master mechanic and asked his opinion.
"The catalytic converters are shot, the smoke inside the car is the carpet pad trying to catch fire, the smoke under the hood is from the glowing exhaust manifolds melting down all the plastics, doubt if she made another mile before the engine compartment caught fire".
"It may be a lease car but I guarantee; the BMW adjuster will catch this one, the car will stink of diesel".

Wow; KARMA strikes back. LOL
Bet the hubby divorces the wicked witch and gets the kids.

Yeah, those poor kids. I`m feeling a but for her husband too but the decision was his. You reap what you sow I guess.

Great story. I don`t believe that I`d stop the flow of gas after she was so nasty though. And I would have just had to have followed her to see the entire thing unfold....then laugh my a$$ off when the thing finally succumbed to the big burn. I think I`d have offered to take the kids off her hands then drove off. What a witch!

You guys are all too nice, I'm not convinced she didn't so it on purpose. I guess I'm just a cynical old ba$#!%d.

If I had seen her doing that, in my mind, I would think "hmph... crazy @$$ b*%&c, thats what she gets for treating her kids like that." There's a saying I think that goes like "whatever bad thing you do will come back to you." She cursed her kids out, she probably got cursed out (or more) by her husband when she got home.
