Starting up after fuel sys work
Seems I always have a hard time getting all the air out (616) after working on the fuel system. Crack the injector lines, (fill the secondary filter),pump, pump and more pumping on the hand pump. You know the drill. Anyway I just installed an engine and was a little concerned about the quality of the fuel in the tank, (car sat for 3 yrs) even though I pulled the sender and peeked down in the tank, drained some fuel out, it looked good. But I rigged a "fuel bucket" with hose to the primary filter.... and she FIRED RIGHT UP without even cracking the injector lines. I was totally astonished.... This engine has been sitting for 2 or 3 months and when ever I had worked on the fuel system when it was in the other car I had to tow start it, then, it would always start and run just fine. Anyway just thought I would pass that along, now if I can find a midget to change my clutch master cyl, I'l be back in biz
