Its more expensive in portland. I just dumped 8 gal WVO in my tank to make a trip to eugene and back. No problems at all (waiting for a switchover valve for 2nd tank WVO system). ![]() |

partial obsession
I am not a total diesel addict, I like a good gasser as well as the next guy, but, if it won't cost me more, I usually will prefer to drive a diesel.
I really like my 300SD, but for performance, nothing I know of will beat my Grandma's 95 C1500 2wd Chevy with a V8, 6.0L Turbo Detroit Diesel. That truck is sssssooooooooooo cool! It sounds like a semi, and even when you're doing 85 down the freeway, it still sounds like a diesel (and may I add, a very loud one!) As far as take-off is concerned, this baby will squeal tires when you're not even trying to! Why doesn't MB build a big-block SL class diesel? Even the utilitarian Detroit Diesel 6.0 Turbo would be enough to make an SL600D that wouldn't be able to keep its tires on the pavement!

I can honestly say that I am not obsessed with Mercedes diesels.....
It all started with a 1985 300D, then I drove a 2005 320CDI ![]() ![]() I have tried consoling, but after the blood test from the physical revealed that I had diesel fuel instead of blood the consoler said that I was hopeless. Obsessed, certainly not! |

I'm losing my obsession with all diesels. Can't get enough WVO and diesel/biodiesel are too expensive.

Hey, Santa, I know there is not enough room in the garage, but you can park them in the basement. The walk out door is big enough. There is enough room for all five plus a few more. ![]() |
