300 SDL.... rear end.....
I believe I will be needing a rear end at some point.
There is at least a couple of inches of play between the drive shaft and rear wheels which is making a very aggravating clunk. If anyone has any info regarding a used one, or suggestions on repairing an old one, please let me know. Are the rear ends from the 126's interchangeable? It's not that bad, but I am really a pain in the ass about noises, so I figure that will be the next thing. Potomac quoted me $225.00 delivered to Miami. Sound reasonable?

By drive shaft do you mean the actual drive shaft that goes from the tranny to the diff or the drive axles that are between the rear wheels and the diff? The way the question is worded has me confused.

Not sure how interchangeable the 300SDL rear end is because of the gear ratio. The price of $225 shipped seems like a good one... I'd buy it.

In the reply to your other post... check Silver Star Recyclers, they had one for an SDL.
