I did not go look at your post, but I want you to be aware that you can take your hoses to any automotive a/c shop and they can replace the rubber quickly and economically. Don't throw them away.
Hope this helps, |

I found a shop in San Diego that can rebuild the hoses properly, neatly and quickly. Some of the shops want to use the crummy clamps. I'd like the rebuilt hoses to look like factory hoses when its complete. The price I was just quoted for barrier hoses was $45 to $85 per hose. That 123 suction hose with the manifold is $300 from Fastlane for an aftermarket. Ouch.
Can't find the discharge hose price (or part number). The only hose that is reasonable new is the hi-side valve to condensor hose for $45 from the dealer (w/discount). That is less than the aftermarket hose and about the same as the rebuilt.

Don't use a shop for hose rebuild that uses hose clamps. If they don't have the crimping tool find a shop that does. The hose clamp might work okay, but it would make a Benz look like a Yugo.

I agree with that comment about the clamps! This shop does a fair amount of work for other a/c shops. I'm going to give it a try.
Does the $ sound about right? ackits in AZ quoted $30 a hose which I thought was too cheap, something wrong there. ee

AC Kits in AZ is a TOP quality shop, that does soooo much of this type of work, it's routine to them. They do it quite often, so they're efficient, and that keeps their cost low. Let's not start encouraging them to raise their prices! They were of great help when I installed my parallel flow condensor with some advice on not only custom hoses but brazing up custom fittings (Try finding a 10 to 8 beadlock, 90> with an integral R-12 port). Either way you go, it sounds good.

If you're up in northern calif., I found a place that make it while you wait. I had mine done for about 25 dollars in less than half an hour.
