I was replacing the wire from the glow plug fuse on the fire wall to the first glow plug, the fuse end is ragged, and I noticed the fuse was an 80A. The wiring schematic states this should be a 50A. My 79 240D has series loop style glow plugs. This does not appear correct. Did the PO's mechanic screw up or is this acceptable?

Any thoughts?
