Thanks for the fast replies. I will try to answer your questions. No I did not here any odd sounds, smells, or vibrations before this happened no one could tamper with the car as I live out in the country and have a fenced in lot and dogs that will warned me if some one is around. I was at half a tank and had not refueled yet. I did the valves adjustment in September. I check the primer pump on the side of the IP for leaks there does not seem to be a leak there. I put some clear braded hose on the return line and could not see any bubbles. Will try some biocide but the small filter looked clean and as I understand it should look black if algae is present. Is there a check valve in the IP that could be leaking down? Also last night at work (I work second shift) when I left as I was doing my 20 sec. cranking to start the car I noted white diesel smelling smoke before it started and belched out the black smoke. The car runs like normal after it starts. This is a mystery to me. Again thanks for all the help.
