1985 300D Injection Pump

How has the Injection Pump changed from the '84 (and prior) version? THe '85 has some other differences but I can;t seem to nail down what the IP differences are... I know about the transmission, etc..

thanks in advance

Good question, hope someone knows. The IP on my "85" is different but I assumed it was because it was a Euro. I never have to do anything to that car,( hay not complaining here) so I have never checked into it. Ive timed several pre "85" IPs but never massed with the newer ones, You may be able to use that lock gizmo for timing. (oh boy, get to buy another tool)
