Stainless Steel Fender Trim

Hey guys,

My 300D has a small ding on the front fender lip that cannot be fixed properly without filler and paint.

I am not ready to do the work my self or pay $500 to have it fixed, so I am thinking about "covering it up" with stainless steel fender trim. I think they look pretty nice, offer some protection against parking lot dings, too.

My question is, all the kits I have seen on the net say they require drilling. Drilling of what? Once I do this ... I can't go back?

Any one installed these trim pieces? What did you think?
