Washed the exterior, washed the rims, cleaned all the windows and dressed the tires. Tightened up the steering box (much better but still some play), cleaned the fuel sender unit (needle used to jiggle), adjusted the accelerator pedal to be tight, put a new rubber o-ring hanger on the exhaust, fixed the driver seat headrest bracket inside the seat (rivet sheared off), properly fitted the sheepskin covers including punching holes in them for the headrest bars, cleaned up the interior and fixed a broken plastic braket on the driver side kick panel and lubed the back of the speedometer and speedo cable (used to squeek). I had so much damn fun.
Next project is to figure out this aftermarket A/C system in the car. There is pressure on the high and low sides, but I question the compressor (sieko). The belt isn't on it. The wiring is also in question (are you reading this Tom Sweeney? Want a project?).
Just drove it to Hazelton, PA yesterday about 300 miles round trip ran like a clock and delivered about 26mpg.. Route 309 up there was some pretty heavy hills which made me stand on the acclerator pedal.. brought the mileage down. I love this car!
