upgrading the brakes
Hi,
My 83 stops pretty well, but Id like a bit more stopping power than the oem stuff is supplying. Its probably because the oem brakes are unvented. Has anyoen upgraded their solid discs on their w123 car? Was there a 'performance' w123 gasser that might have better brakes that would be more direct of a bolt on? Any info would be great. Thanks, JMH

Hi JMH.
I just bought front and rear slotted rotors from this site: http://www.raceshopper.com/sp_mercedes.shtml www.************************ has stainless steel brake lines. I also ordered those. Haven't installed them yet but plan to do so on saturday. Louis. |

The late model W126 560SEL brakes would bolt on. However, you would have to use 15" wheels I think. You could get the calipers, discs, and maybe even the brake booster ?
