I wonder if anyone will be dreaming of the mercedes 90's era cars as much as we are right now of the 50's and earlier cars 30 years from now?

Well, I'm noew to these vehicles and still learning about the different models. That being said...

I've always had a special place in my heart for late '50s Detroit iron, so naturally I find the Heckflosse cars very appealing. However a nice early to mid '80s 300CD or better yet an SD or SDL is probably a more practical choice for a daily/summer driver I would think.

Would also love to have a diesel Gwagen! It would deifnitely need to be a manual transmission as well as a three-door model.

Definately, definately a G-wagen with an OM603 Turbo. I know there was such a model in the mid-90s, but have yet to see one (have seen lots of the OM617 versions on E-bay). Would prefer the five-door G, but would be happy with a 3-door.

Add a gullwing and a 6.9 to my garage, too, please.

Actually, my DREAM BENZ is the one I have pictured in my signature.

Hattie, at an exotic auto auction where my former boss bought his Twin Turbo Diablo SV I got to "inspect" the other vehicles which included Mike Tyson's former XJ220. Unfortunately the E-brakes were locked in place but we were allowed to start them up and rev them in place.....that V6 screams. Other than that it is a Jaguar.....the four instrument pods on the door didn't even twitch when the ignition was turned on. Oh well, still fun to kick the tires and look rich even for a few hours.

Wish list:

- My silver/black 6.9 fully restored.
- A twin turbo 6.9 with a 6 speed manual tranny.
- 6.3
- 600 Pullman
- Gullwing
- 540K
- S600
- 500SL Euro 5 Speed
- SL65
- Mid 90's 300GD
- Unimog 404 Radio Truck with a modded 617
- "The Security Detail" - 300SD/(450SEL body) upgraded to the 400CDI motor (6 spd) limited slip rear, push bars up front, reinforced rear bumper with structural strengthening. H&K SMG's in the doors and two Benelli M3 Super 90's in in the trunk under the rear window shelf.
- "The Sleeper" - My W115 with a finnish OM606 TT and 6 speed manual shoehorned in as the everyday driver running WVO.
- ..and a CLK-GTR

A 190E 2.3 16v Cosworth with a custom supercharger would definitely make my day.

Realistically:

1. 190D 2.5 turbo with 5sp, sportline seats, sportline steering and SLS. I already have all the pieces, with my turbo parts car and my 2.3-16. Hey Ara, you want my Cosworth engine and fuel system?

2. SL, SLC, or SEC with turbodiesel and manual trans.

Unrealistically:

Any C111, SLR, or Sauber.

A 1955 Gullwing that isn't a mobile torture chamber. Air conditioning would be a big help.

Don't like anything after 1995 so it'd be:

My W124 E300D wagon but with a later turbo OM606, 5 or 6 speed manual transmission (plus a proper handbrake so I wouldn't have to dance on hill-starts) and leather.

Late 70's W116 in black, 350SEL please. I could only afford to take it out at weekends.

W198 of course.

Hands down:

'07 SL400 CDI

Ok, so there's only one in existance so far...but the money to purchase is just fantasy as well...

And of course a silver on black or grey (or black/tan) OM603 GD...in a pinch I'd take an OM602 GD

I'd settle for the '07 SLK320 CDI too...

Rounding out the top 11 (all stick shift):
1991 300E Sportline twin-turbo, 500SEC AMG black/tan, C111 3.5 silver/blue (like my dad's that died), W123 300TD AMG Wagon, W111/W108 Hearse (or ambulance), 1995 E300D (turboed/intercooler/leather int), Real 6.0 Hammer, W116 6.9.
