Cruise control amp caused some wierd electrical problems.
I put my cruise control amp back in my '85 300D after checking it out. Not only did the CC not work but my seltbelt warning and parking brake warning lamps stayed on this time. The only thing I did on the amp was to check it for shorts and it didn't have any. So I unplugged it and the lights went out. Did anyone else experience something wierd like this?

Never seen that one, and I can't think how it would do this really.. Perhaps you bumped something under the dash somehow?

No the only thing I've bumped under there was my head.
Seriously, no. I was careful to reconnect the amp as there only was the one connector that ran to it. Maybe I fried the amp someway when I was checking it but even that seems impossible as I was only checking the solder joints for continuity. I know that IC chips can be sensitive, maybe that's were I messed it up. But it still doesn't make sense why it would affect my parking brake and seat belt warning lamps. Looks like I have an electrical gremlin here.
