Houston meets?

Have there been any diesel owner meets in the Houston area before? I saw the ones in Austin, and Dallas, but never ones in the Houston area. I'm not the planning type, but I think I diesel owner meet would be nice. Maybe at a park like Tom Bass park, Hermann park, Memorial park, or Adair park,(all nice parks, esp. Memorial and Tom Bass and Adair) with a picnic, and a nice leisurely group drive to Galveston and back after the meet at the park. Like I said, I'm not one for planning events, but this is just an idea. What do my fellow Houstonians think?

I would be very interested as well! mid July, mid to late August or into Sept would work.

I'm sure there's a nice park in Galveston that would work. We could do a group cruise southwestward along Galveston island.

Another possibility, although it's in the other direction, is Huntsville State Park. Plenty of picknic areas, I think there's also a covered area for groups and there are plenty of great country roads in Montgomery county with several small towns with rest or pull off areas, great area for a group cruise.
