Just Shoot Me...... Exhaust replacement

Middle muffler finally gave up the ghost. Those of you that like the straight pipe must have hearing problems....... man is it loud.

What's the difference, other than price, between the Ebersparcher and the Bosal systems listed in the Fastlane catalog.

Man I love this car, but this is my year for spending more time under it than in the driver's seat.

Moan.........

LOL, I have seen other people on other type cars who said ... " that is overkill having two mufflers"...... and found out why when they eliminated it... no car manufacturer would take the room and spend the extra money if they did not think they really needed the extra muffling...

i replaced my back muffler w/ a straight pipe and the noise wasn't that bad at all.
Since you're in North Jersey, call K.C. at Midas in Ramsey on 17- he made mine.

How loud the noise is depends greatly on where the exhaust exit is. Straight pipe under the floorboards will be much louder than if run all the way back to the stock exit. Trucks with side exhaust are way louder than when run out the back with the same muffler. I always prefer to run out to the rear and put the sound behind me. RT

I'm going for replacement

Any insight on the differences between the two

Ebersparcher and the Bosal systems

I trust that a straight pipe after the first muffler is better,,,,,,

but it will still be too loud.

thx

i changed the whole muffler including the header pipe. the whole system cost me less than 200 bucks. *********************** has these systems and so does fast lane. i got the bosal one and it was a direct fit

i just did it like a month ago and what a difference. it was alot quieter

A lot of the difference between those that like the sound and those that think it is way too loud is wether the car is turbo or not. The turbo does a fairly good job of muffling the exhaust and those doing this on the 300D's that have the turbo seem to be happy with the results.
