cool video. definetely outperformed the little rx3. we used to have an rx6 I think- little rotary powered wagon... wish I could find that again...

thanks man,

The rx3 and other light weight 4 wheel drive machines definitely were faster than me. No wonder.

But I think my car handling and ability to cruise the corners with the tail swinging out was making a big difference.

My time was within 1-2 sec of the majority of the subaru drivers.

All that sideways driving in snow in Denmark growing up certainly paid dividend.

That's awsome. I always wanted to autocross mine, the car handled like it was on rails.

Just curious

I wonder how strong the suspension parts on the SDL is?
Should I not do this again?
Was I just lucky that it didn't break down?

MBZ suspension is sturdy enough but,

I'd be more concerned about that 'oh so vulnerable' oil pan hanging out there in the breeze.

Call me old-fashioned but, a 126 just seems like the wrong tool for the job in this situation.

I totally agree

The SDL is the wrong tool for the job.
But that was the fun part of the challenge.
See how my driver skills in such an inappropriate car could stack up against the typical subarus etc.

I actually managed to run with the MR2 from 86. That's pretty good.
I was within 1-2 sec of the majority of subarus.

I was just wondering how strng the suspension actually is.

I appriciate the comment on the oilpan.
Perhaps I need to shield it.

I totally missed going sideways and on public road here in Seattle, it's not very easy to find places to have fun. So off to the tracks.
