my mechanic is $65/hour, and bills, to me, fairly. Has a big sign "We do not install customer's parts". He had a brand new Behr radiator from a junk SD, sucker was shiny new. Think he said it had an additional row from my likely stock Behr. I told him how I was planning on installing a new radiator myself, and had bought [thru Fastlane] the new hoses and belts to install at the same time. He said no problem, I asked about the sign, he said the good belts and hoses last forever, and by the time I got around to changing them again, they'd be dry-rotted. So he sold me the radiator for 100. Charged 2 hours. Including him buying a new thermostat, total bill around $350. Second repair he did for me, and obviously I'll be back.
