VNT for a Rabbit?

What size would be good for a 1.6? Most people are running a little over 30PSI.

Rabbit will be getting Full ARP fit, FMIC, turbo pistons (overbored) with oil squirters, high flow oil pump, ACT twin-disk clutch and full 2.5 inch turboback exhaust, Giles injection.

I'm looking for 240HP. The car is a perfect roadrace/autoX shell - virtually NO rust (much worth building.)

IIRC someone used the VNT15 off of an ALH (1.9 as fitted to the US spec 1999-2003 cars) and it worked quite well. The one in my TDI is making 8 psi by 1600 rpm and full boost at 2100 rpm.

You'll never get that much out of a 1.6l. Maybe an "ALH" or newer TDI.

it has been done.

giles pump + VNT/IC will go far. Getting a TDI transplanted is tough - the ECU is part of the instrument cluster and the wiring is intense.

about half way down, he hits just below 200WHP and 8k RPM.

Non-vnt turbo, smaller 9mm giles pump (I may want that 14mm pump...)
