82 240D IP connection to where ?

This does not look right. This (circled) connection must go someplace, but where? If it was meant to be left open then there would be some sort of filter to prevent dirt from getting in right.

It is intentionally left open and is Normal .

Its a vent. There is no airflow in/out of it except during altitude change.
