om603 bypass valve block off
I am currently going through an 87 300d with the om603. I am trying to reduce all possible boost leaks and noticed the the turbo still has an intact bypass valve that is blocked off from the factory and could be a source of a leak being that the rubber diaphragm is 30 years old.
My question is, has anyone removed the diaphragm and spring and installed a block off plate? Is there a block off that is known to fit this particular turbo? I did a little searching and found one made by IPD (Volvo tuning company) and it appears to have similar dimensions to what would be needed for my turbo. https://www.ipdusa.com/products/9880/121158-compressor-bypass-valve-cbv-block-off-plate-s60r-v70r
