Best alternator to use for om606?

I was wondering what the goto/top amperage alternator is for the om606 turbo?

Looks like factory Bosch alt (part #AL0765X) is a 115amp. Following this in curiosity if anyone has used it on an OM603... as my 74amp unit doesn't seem to tow the line with all the accessories on (window defrost + heater at idle engine speed).

I run a 143A from a 1994 W140 S500 on my car. Be sure to use an overrunning alternator pulley for anything over 80A if you want to save your timing cover and tensioner assembly.

I'm using a 150a from an 02 CLK430. P/n 010-154-29-02. You have to reclock it 90 degrees so that the terminals are oriented properly for the om606, then it bolts right up. Also added the clutched pulley. The clutched pulley is available under a VW part number for about 1/2 price, I can look it up if interested. If you're buying a used alternator, throw a fresh voltage regulator into it before installing. I would also replace the rear bearing, as it's super easy to do, and you have to open the alt anyhow to reclock it.

I'd appreciate the part number if you're willing to find it and post it up.

Thank you
