Diesel purge okay for new nozzles?

I bought an 82 300SD with 147k. Post purchase, I went straight to deep maintenance under the hood. As I'm putting it back together, I now realize that I wish I ran a purge prior to beginning my work. Right now I have the new nozzles installed and all new fuel lines. My plan is to soon run a purge and then replace the pre-filters. Is it okay to proceed with the purge on the new nozzles, or is it better to reinstall the old nozzles for the purpose of running a purge and, once complete, reinstall the new nozzles. I feel like I read somewhere that a purge can potentially damage virgin nozzles. Thanks for the input.
