Good EGT probe (themocouple)?

I want to install an EGT probe and gauge. I've already purchased an ISSPRO gauge, now I'm looking for a good thermocouple that isn't too expensive.

This was recommended to me in another thread last month:
http://www.teamrip.com/accessories.html

However, I've been attempting to contact them for weeks to no avail, so I guess they're not interested in selling anything. Does anyone here have any other good suggestions?

I haven't been watching for any "gossip" about his store lately but I know Jon (the owner) of the store can be very hard to get ahold of at times. If you don't have any questions which I can't help you with I'd just order it with paypal and CC then if he doesn't send it to you (which I really doubt) in a couple weeks contact paypal and request your money back. I run that EGT probe on my talon with the autometer 0-1600*F gauge.

1. I don't know the shipping costs
2. You want me to just send him $80 (or so) when he hasn't replied to a single email in three weeks, and HOPE he sends me something for it?

You obviously trust him a lot more than I do ;-).

Also, I want to be sure I'll have the gauge as soon as possible (before I put my dash back in; it's out now). I've already waited longer than I wanted, hoping I'd get some response...

I use ISSPRO pyrometers on all my turbo engines, gas or diesel. A holdover from my big rig days I guess. Why not use one of their probes?
Lots of venders out there catering to the Japanese turbo market too.

Do you have any accuracy specs on it? Reaction time? Perhaps it is worth a look.

I've never heard of him screwing somebody over, he just lags a little bit. He is the DSM tranny expert so people all around the nation are constantly sending him trannies, also he is into his own racing league or something as well so he gets busy....

Okay BoostnBenz, I've followed your suggestion; time to wait and see if your trust in him is well-placed. I hope so! :-)

For those who have an EGT, what is the notmal and high range for the OM617? I will have one soon and I'm getting the exhaust manifold drilled and tapped about 1.5" from the #3 exhaust port on the top side.
