We most likely have plans that weekend It was bound to happen I suppose, but I'm glad you made it through the storm relatively unscathed.

So does that mean you "might" be able to attend? If not we need to schedule a dinner soon. We haven't seen you and the Mrs. in ages.

I can actually go now! I have no more Muse concerts (). Count me and Bodhi in! I may be able to talk my dad into coming along too with the 11,000-mile 1995 S320 but I doubt it. Looking forward to seeing all the cars ... oh, and the people!

Sad to miss it obviously. I was able to get in to Providence and get my New GTI without incident. Friday night in New York was as busy and as fun as usual. We at dinner at Del Friscos and walked around Rockefeller Center and Times square.

Saturday morning NYC started to shut down. All shows and attractions were closed. We did have lunch at a local Italian restaurant then returned to our hotel, where was pretty chaotic.

People who were scheduled to leave the city could not because flights were canceled. Evacuees were trying to find hotels to stay in to avoid the shelters. Since they didn't have cars and public transit had shut down they were stuck, and angry. All felt like it was being blown out of proportion, which it was.

There was word that they were planning to shut down all the bridges and tunnels out of the city, and that's when I made the decision to leave. The elevators were so congested that we had to take the stairs down. When one person asked how I was leaving (my car) he followed us out and begged for a ride to any airport outside of the city. I didn't oblige just because its a 2 door small car and he was a complete stranger.

We made our way out of the city just as it started to rain. It was pretty surreal see every shop closed and perhaps a handful of people per block in times square. Only vehicles on the road were police and taxis.

Stopped in Chicago to visit my uncle and spent the weekend there. Not a bad runner up city to spend some time in.

I got back home early this afternoon. Certainly a memorable vacation.

Pre-chimed elsewhere, but we plan to be there. Now that it has new glow plugs, the 300D may be our chariot, too!

I'll be there with at least a 84' 300D. Might have a 83' 300TD up and running by that point as well.
