Looking through all the possible source for 2000 CL-Class, I drool all over my keyboard, and almost short-circuit my computer. Anyways, judging from the info, CL-Class is kinda be one-and-only ride every Mercedes lover should not pass on. With new technology like, low/high beam Xenon lights, Active Body Control, 2nd Gen. V12, it's kinda be tough luck for other car makers to follow.

Nobody else (save Bentley perhaps) is really competing with them in the BIG coupe segment. BMW's 8-series was euthenized several years ago. Lexus has the SC300/400 but those slot in against the CLK's. Jaguar's coupe/roadster also are more CLK competitors. I can't think of anyone offhand who has anything that is really a direct competitor to the CL's, especially the next generation that should be here shortly.

CL-Class rivals?? How about Ferrari 456M?? It's 2+2 grand touring, AT or MT, and I think it's the ONLY one to compete with CL-Class. LOL...I just can't wait to put my hands on both Grand Touring Cars......lol

Good Point with the 456M. Though they are rivals in configuration, I doubt many people cross shop those two! The 456 is certainly more sporting than any of the CL iterations I've heard of. (unless AMG has a SLR engined coupe with a SMG lurking in the shadows!) The CL will continue to be the "Curb Appeal" option vs the "Sex Appeal" of the Ferrari. Cars of that caliber and price come down to owner prejudice/passions. If you have the choice of either of those two you are one lucky person!
