AC

Just got one to, same year and model. Love it. To answer your question...make sure the EC button red light is off, that turns on the air.....when the EC button is on the air is from the outside only, no air compressor. Just set the temp at 72 or below. Hope this helps.

GEOMB,

How long does it take for cool air to come out of the vents?

Smile Air

On mine its right away, only takes a couple of seconds, the fan kicks into high and the cooling starts, the fan starts to kick down as the car gets cooler until it reachs the temp I set. Hope this helps.

Does the fan kick into high by itself or do you have to turn the fan speed up?

Cool Air

I hit the AUTO button and the fan works by its self, it will go up on high and come back down by its self. You can turn it up manually if you like, you can also adjust where the air comes from, the floor , defrost, or the vents. But once you hit auto it comes out the vent. Let me know if this works, good luck.
