Could be, but......
You need a "Keygen" program to serialize the manuals to your ethernet hardware. In other words you just can't copy the manuals from the CD. They must be serialized to that computer with a serial number generator in order for them to work. If the seller doesn't need your ethernet address chances are that these are not the real thing. (or they've been cracked, as far as I know this hasn't been done but anything is possible if you set your mind to it!!!) Almost all of the programs I've seen that come on CD's (ebay) are NOT the true factory manuals. and are VERY incomplete The real ones I've seen come on a DVD, are multiple languages, and include multiple models of cars. not just the 129's Not to say there isnt an earlier set of manuals that came on 3 CD's or that didnt require a keygen. I just haven't seen it. Maybe someone else on the board will comment. The ethernet address is the key here. buyer beware. Its totally lame that you can't buy a legitimate manual from Mercedes for a reasonable amount of money, I can buy manuals for Porsche, BMW, even Ferrari but not a Mercedes R129 I can see the HHT being worth $7,000, but a manual?? come on..... -- CR 97 SL600 93 750il 77 630csi 70 Charger R/T 68 Corvette Roadster |
