Production years of a model?
Hi,
I am looking to buy one nice european w124 caravan year 1992, it has 3 litres diesel engine with 136Hp (no turbo), and it has transparent corner lights. So it seems that this is like a "Phase 3" w124 since both engine, and transparent corner lights came about in that version of 124. However according to the www.w124.org phase 3 was only produced in years 1994-1995, so my future car to be seems to be 2 years ahead of its time so to speak ![]() Is it possible that phase 3 caravans came out year or two before limuousines (in w123 model turbo engines appeared in caravans before limousines)? Or the car has been extensively modified and fitted with new engine and body parts? Or the data abaout the car is invalid? Is there a place on web where I could reliably check production years and models? Or could I deduct something form numbers on the car like engine number annd body number, and where are they located? Many thanks! |
