Red face Fs 85 300D turbo

I have a 1985 300 Turbo Diesel. Its in VERY good condition compared to the ones Ive seen. The only problem we have is the wrong size armature (spelling?) on the starter, so sometimes it takes a few tries to start, and the mechanic says I have a vacuum problem.

for about 2 weeks the car wouldnt turn off without opening the hood, and the doors wouldnt lock. he looked at the car, said one of the vacuum hoses was kinked in the fuel filter, and now the front doors both lock again, the trunk works again, and i havent had to open the hood in 4-5 days. It is believed i still have a small leak though the problems seem to be for the most part gone.

Tires are one year old, new brakes are a couple months old. no problems with the interior, There is MINOR rust on the rear passanger door from a small dent. Other than that the car is perfect.
I live in colorado and this diesel is not great in the snow, and i have to drive up a GIANT hill on the way home from work, so it needs to go . Ive owned it for 2 1/2 years and only replaced the started. 208000 miles... i dont know what else to put in here
Im asking about $3500 for it, I will send pics if anyone wants some.

Clarification requested.

In Mercedes' nomenclature (unlike BMW and others), the "T" in designations like "300TD" stands for "Touring" or "Touristisk," which means "Station Wagon" and yet you mention a trunk -- is your car actually a 300D turbodiesel sedan and not really a 300TD station wagon?

Cream outside, beige inside. NO dash cracks, there is a crack in the first aid kit cover, but im working on replacing that, and the hood release strap broke 2 weeks ago, but thats being replaced as well.
I dont know anything about suspension, but it drives really well. I have no problems with it at all. The A/C does work, we tried it last week.
There is a spot of rust on the rear passanger seat door, from a small dent. (i can send a picture of it if you would like.
Thanks
Kenni

Ok, so it's a 1985 300D (turbodiesel sedan)... thanks for clariying that - values as well as desirability can drastically differ for turbodiesel sedans vs. turbodiesel wagons! ...any other rust? -like rockers, under fenders & quarter panels, floors, etc... And maybe you can post some pics - it'll help especialy since it's an '85 model.

I have seen no rust except on rear passanger door, ill post picture, and there is a (smaller than a marble) size spot at the base of the rear window.

The second picture is the ONLY spot where i see the paint chipping, its starting to web a bit but only on the front hood.
(any ideas on how to spot this, or fix it without paying for a whole paint job?)

That rust is from a dent... NOT from salt or anything like that, its all surface rust.
