FS - 1979 Red 240D 4 Speed Manual - NO RUST
1979 240D 4 Speed Manual transmission - 234k (no this one won't make it to 500,000 miles cause it needs a rebuild!)
Engine compression is too low to fire @ > 200psi NO RUST - it's been a CA car all of its life Very good shape overall No body damage but some door dings Red paint is good although it could use a good cleaning and some wax bumper is scuffed on the chrome - perhaps could be polished or just replaced Nearly perfect interior cosmetics although the driver seat is getting a little flat No cracks in the dashboard. Manual windows Radio works Chrome trunk release button cover is missing...have no idea why but it locks securely. Car is in Santa Monica, CA and can be inspected during the day. I don't have pictures since I have actually only seen the car for 20 minutes even though legally owning it for 2 months. PM/Email me if you have any specific questions about it, the car has a long history and I would hate to trash the car. Here is the history of the car here at the forum. Perfect OM617 conversion opportunity...anyone?
Anyone remotely interested? I am willing to deal down just to take it off my hands....
Other than that, anyone have a 240d engine for cheap in LA? Anyone interested in doing a OM617 conversion for me? Any project bids?
