I am looking for a diesel MB in either the 240 or 300 models from the late 70s to around 1985. I am in the Raleigh, NC area. I will travel to within about 250miles to get it.

The main things I am looking for are no rust and sound motor condition.

I've got an 85 300sd, that has been rear ended. I planned on pulling it out, but just don't have the time, so I'm looking for a solid Diesel pickup, and a cleaner MB. This one is reliable, I've had it about 3 months, and driven it on 7-8 400 mile trips with no issue. No rust, other than the slight crinkles on the back. Trunk still opens and closes with some jimmying. I'm in Nashville.

I've got an '84 300SD that we just don't need anymore. My wife was driving it daily until she got another vehicle. The exterior is in great shape(No rust). The engine and tranny are very strong and run great. The interior needs the most work. The leather is cracked and some of the wood trim is cracked or missing. The A/C is COLD(R134a) and the cruise works but only over 50 mph. We live on the OBX on Roanoke Island and that is just three hours drive on US64 East. We are asking $2200 for it but you can look at it and make an offer. I'll try and get you some pics also if you send me your email and if your still interested.

okay, my father is selling my sister's 1984 240D. she ended up getting a 560SEL and that's why the car is being sold. here's the scoop.

1984 240D euro automatic
-factory air conditioning, dual climate control
-not sure of mileage, i think it's around 150K (my dad can tell you)
-duke blue, with navy MB tex
-alloy wheels
-records - always maintained by Mercedes specialist
-CD player and Boston Acoustics speakers
-euro bumpers
-cosmetic flaws: small dent in front bumper, no body damage, tear in tex in driver's seat
