Recently I visited a friend of a relative who has a 73 280 SE in her garage with around 110K miles on it. It belonged to her husband who passed away about 3 years ago. She has not driven it but only started it to keep the engine lubricated. It has some rust at the bottom of the rear fenders but overall the body is in good shape. I started it up and it started right away and ran smoothly. I backed it out of the garage and noticed that although it stopped easily, the pedal went pretty far down, I am sure more than it should have. I did not take it on the road so cannot comment on how it drove. I told her that I really wanted a diesel so was not interested in buying it, but would help her to sell it. Can anyone offer a range of value for a car like this? I will be glad to obtain more details as needed. The color is red, MB Tex interior, and I don't remember that it had a sunroof. Thanks for any feedback.
