First off I would like to thank everyone who participates on Mercedesshop.com for the priceless information available, you have made my life a little bit easier!! After sitting in my garage for 8 years I'm sorry to say I must get rid of her. The car is in ok condition and does have some issues. The engine will start and run but not well, it smokes badly, more than your well running diesel. I think it has some IP timing issues. I recently drained the fuel tank and put fresh diesel fuel in. New fuel fitlers and glow plugs were also installed. The transmision shifts through all gears and seems to be in good shape as well as the rear end and driveline. The front left brake caliper is hanging up. It also needs some attention in the steering area, lose outer tie rod ends. the body is in good condition allthough the floor pans have some rust through towards the front foot area. all the trim is there and in good condition. There is some chipping on the front of the vehicle but no major body damage. Interior is in great shape, the headliner is slightly peeling a round the rear window area. This would be an excellent vehicle for someone who would want to put a little bit of money and time into, this is a complete vehicle and has not been striped of any parts.. The car does drive but I would not go more than a few miles. It should be hauled on a trailer because of the engine and brake issues.
