I already had a 126 and have a 210 now. I guess I want something 'else'. I don't know yet. I am looking at a Jag V-12, an old Volvo 122s, a Saab 96, and an older Range Rover. They are all neat cars, but they just don't "speak" to me.

I hear ya. I have a '74 TR6 in the garage with all sorts of goodies to bolt on this winter, and the 300D in the driveway, but I still find myself browsing. I don't think I'll ever quit watching the market for interesting vehicles, as much as my wife would prefer I'd do so.
Ever looked at saabrally.com? They build some some neat ralley cars our of old Saabs.

I find that when I get a car, I have to stop browsing. Inevitably I will find something that grabs my attention, and that's not a good thing in the middle of a project.
![]() Plus, this time around, I am getting some pressure from the wife for something on her list. I am having a really hard time handling that. |

If you are still looking....
I am looking for a good home for my dad's old car... he passed away this past July 20, and left behind a 1965 Mercedes Sedan (W111). He worked for Texas Instruments his entire career and in 1973 he took our family to Holland to live while he worked there for TI. When our family returned 2 years later he shipped this mercedes back to the states (richardson, texas) and drove it until about 5 years ago. I couldn't tell you when in the past 5 years it was last started. (The color is grey)
He had a friend/trusted mechanic who did all repair work on this car. Anyway, it is all original inside and out and has been stored under an open garage (three sides) for the past 5 years. (I recently found 3 keys for it... I believe one is for ignition, one for trunk and one for glove box.) I know the speedometer is in km and the gauge moves up as speed increases instead of the circular type here in the States. I'm new to this board, found it while researching the vin number and mercedes information. I'll check back for a message or pm in case you are interested. Thanks! If my '66 w110 200 gas fintail is of interest, shoot me an email. I'm in southern California (as is the car) but I think you'd find it worth the transport.
