1986 190E 16V w/ 3.0 M103 Swap For Sale

I've owned this car for about 6 years and it has never let me down. The car has 205k on the chassis and ~120k on the motor. I've put ~60k on it and the motor had 59K when I swapped it. The motor is from a 1989 300CE and was bought from Potomac German Auto. A complete harness from a 190e 2.6 was used so no spliced wires. Many new parts were installed at the time including: new sachs clutch kit, clutch master and slave, clutch rubber line, belt tensioner, idler pulley, 134a conversion, ignition wires, cap, rotor, bilstein sport shocks, cut 500SL springs, earls braided brake lines, k&n filter, new brake pads and rotors, new nissens radiator, new condenser, and many smaller items for the motor swap.

Everything works as it should, all windows and sunroof work etc, except the cruise control works 50% of the time. The A/C blows cold (134a) and I switched over to the euro center console. The car has a salvage title due to insurance fraud by the previous owner. The car threw a rod in the original 16v motor and the guy lit the sls hydraulic reservoir on fire to try to get his insurance to pay for it (that's where 90% of the damage was). That didn't work, but it did get branded as a salvage vehicle even though all I had to replace was the hood/grill, a right headlight (I replaced both) and a few rubber/plastic pieces under the hood (along with the motor etc). The body kit is complete, it even has the tow hook cover.

The car runs well and is a daily driver. The motor is smooth and the car has tons of torque, pairing well with the 16v getrag transmission which shifts smoothly and easily. I average about 23mpg in mixed driving. There is a custom 2.5" exhaust from the headers back giving a nice sound. The tires have ~50% tread left and the wheels are MB original optional wheels. Overall the car is solid mechanically, the main issue is rust. It is around both rear wheel arches/rear jack points and on the front of the left fender, the underbody is fine. The interior is in pretty good shape but the base of the driver’s seat is cracked, as is the dash in 3-4 typical spots. The car has euro headlights, clear corners, and an AMG steering wheel.

The car is more civilized and easier to drive daily than a 16v due to the M103 motors smoothness, torque, and steady idle I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country at all. Let me know if you have any questions. The car is located in Baltimore, MD and I'm asking $2600.

I am interested in this car but i have to ask you if there is any more rust in any other parts of the car?

There is rust on the left front fender, and around both rear archs/quarters/jack points. There may be a minor spot somewhere else, but those are the main areas I can see. You are welcome to take a look at the car before the auction ends.

Well im interested in this automobile but the fact that i live in Tx and the rust make the price even as is too high (mainly because of the rust) would you be willing to drop it?
