good luck in this endevour. it's a very nice looking car. not quite the right color, and the roof tear is a big issue, but you should get some interest. i think it's priced a bit aggresively, but you never know. there's been an '86 in my area with 34k miles on the market for a few months at $15,900. Yours is a bit nicer though.

Edited to add: the 560 in my area is not mine

I'm in NOVA. If anyone is interested, I would be glad to take a look at it for you.

What exactly do you mean by the color thing? I agree about the roof tear.

Just a few thoughts:

1. Does this sound like a dealer listing that should be prohibited? Note the various people and phone numbers to contact.

2. It bothers me when the first post after joining this forum is a "for sale" ad. I'm not sure that is doing the forum members any favors since the seller has no history or track record to rely on.

*sigh*

I am not a dealer. This is my grandmother's car and is currently at my parent's house. The first number is mine and the second is theirs. I was very forthcoming with this information from the start.

Am I breaking any rules by posting an ad as my first post? I don't believe I am. Also, I don't like the fact that you talk as if I'm not here. You can ask me questions directly, Bob, and I will answer them honestly.

Furthermore, I mentioned that I would prefer a local sale and the car is available if anyone cares to check it. I realize I don't have a history or a reputation, here, but your antisocial attitude is also not doing the forum members any favors.

Actually, you are. This sight requires 10 posts (it may even be more like 15), before listing anything for sale...

Can you please show me where that is stated?

I checked this link before I posted and thought I was following all of the rules.

Want to sell your car easily? You *NEED* to read this!

Even if it does turn out to be true, how will ten (or fifteen, wow) posts change anything? Will I have gained a great reputation as an honest individual in that time? Very unlikely indeed. C'mon people...

Istand corrected, one of the other stickys says it CAN get removed (its one of the other stickys at the top of the classified page). In either case, you can't post something like this, and not expect to get comments on it, whether you agree with them or not. Just don't get upset when you hear something you don't want to. I don't think anyone means any harm, just consider that most of us aren't collectors, but use these cars as daily drivers. Also, on the dealer comment, please be aware that we do run into cases where dealers try to use our site as free advertisement, which is dirty, and not cool. I'm assuming that you are not one of these, but you can never be too careful. I wish you the best of luck with your sale. It really does look like a very nice car!
