1983 240D, very solid body (no rust), interior is good except for drivers seat bottom, Doesn’t run (suspect fuel problem). Carfax indicated minor front end accident (grille is broken and some waviness in the hood) Euro headlights have been sold.
$350 or offer. Located 50 miles South of Washington DC in Maryland

I bought this as a project for my grandson and I to work on, he lost interest in it. When I got it , it would almost start (turned over, tried to run, just wouldn't quite stay running). I suspect draining the fuel tank (not much in it) checking /cleaning strainer, replacing filters and primer (might be leaking) and it would be good to go. I just don't have the time or will to do it.

Wouldn't really take long to get a plastic bottle and put some diesel in it, run a piece of fuel line into the bottle, and new filter, prime and see if it will fire. This would isolate the tank, and if it runs it may get you a little more $$ if you have the time.

That would probably work, I just don't have the time right now, that's why I'm willing to let it go as is and give someone a good deal.

I would love to buy it, have been wanting a diesel project, but I'm in the process of selling my house in Philly so I can move to Baltimore. I just would not know where to put it in the meantime. If you know of someplace with free storage for a few months, I'll give it serious consideration.

Tom, I just got hit with a tax bill. Thought it was going to be $60, turned out to be $500. Back taxes since I retired. Talk about being upset. I was going to pm you a price and schedule pickup.. Now it's fading quickly.. grrrr

Since I've last posted I was given a new spare (rim with brand new, still has sticker tire) and brand new radiator (still in the box) to go with this car.

Where in Maryland are you located?
Stick or automatic?
I know these odometers aren't reliable but how many miles are showing?
