The spare 280 motor was sold to one of our members over in Ohio for his cherry green metallic 79 280e (or was it a 77, or 78?). I would love to sell this to someone who would have more fun with it.

OK, I'll part it but the engine has to be sold before taking anything else.
MOtor $1,975 Transmission, fw, clutch shifter and pedal cluster $400 Limited slip 369 diff $675 euro headlights $250 pair spare euro headlight lenses $100 Koni shocks $200 Black mb tex euro interior with heated seats and door panels, carpet and door post covers $550 H and R lowering springs...200 Skid plate new in box 100 These prices is for me to remove the parts from the car and set on your trailer. If you wanted to remove some parts we can talk. Tom

I think it is straight but has some rust on the bottom lip. I have a nice clean one but in either case I don't want to sell any parts off the car until such time as I sell the motor. If I sell the whole car I might sell the spare trunk lid.

This lovely beauty has genuine indiana license plate in the floor board as evidenced in the shots of the front floor area.
I am getting restless and may actually pull the stuff off the shell and junk the shell to free up space in the garage. So if someone wants the car I am willing to talk turkey! (or if they know of a clean rust free 280 sl euro with a bad motor, I would consider that as a home for the strong motor in this one!) I'd really love one of the super rare ones with a hardtop only and side facing jump seat in back (if that is not only in the earlier sl).

If I pull the motor I offer the car less the seats, shocks and motor for $995. This includes the tranny, shifter, pedal cluster, ds, rad, speedo, tach, full euro exhaust and limited slip diff.

I just had it serviced and the sticking clutch is fixed and it runs fine. Also repalced the regulator on the alternator.
