FS: 1984 300D- needs love or parts car - NEGOCIABLE
For sale is a 1984 300D. The following work had been done to it in the last 3 years with over $6000 in reciepts available for review. I am moving and need to sell this vehicle ASAP. There is a minor electrical issue with the electric windows. Antenna mast needs replacement and it needs a new rear muffler. Many new parts/filters not yet installed also can be negiciated into purchase price. Routine maintainance and care has been performed. The car is a true mileage unknown as the odometer is broken, estimated 150-200 K miles on it. Major mechanical repair work had been done and the remaining projects are to refinish the driver and passenger seats and perform normal New England body work for rust prone areas. Rear seats are showroom new, doors and door panels are in excellent condition. This car does not leak oil at all. There is NO A/C and a conversion has not been performed- the compressor is NOT siezed. Most common 123 issues have been RESOLVED! NO glow plug issue, car had good compression and cold starts fine.
I replaced the following parts replaced 3 years ago: NEW suspension bushings NEW Brake stops NEW Upper conrtol Arms New Lower Control Arms NEW ball joints (upper/lower) NEW Steering bushings NEW tie rod assemblies (both) DIALED in Steering box with a minute amount of play NEW Bilstein HD shocks More recently, I have done the following: new brake booster and all new hardlines to brakes new hoses to front calipers NEW (reman) rear calipers NEW brake pads all around NEW E-Code headlamps w/city lights and plastic protective coating NEW remanufactured rear axles NEW exhaust downpipe to mid muffler NEW driveshaft bearing NEW Mono Valve NEW windshield & gasket installed by a PRO and not leaky AT ALL I perform constant oil changes, radiator flushes, power steering and transmission fluid changes and valve adjustments. more info about the car
I have pretty much made sure that this car is mechanically sound, all major work has been done. The odometer is broken but the engine runs great, no smoke on start up, great mileage at 26/28 mpgs calculated via google maps fuel run.
The rust is pretty common, around the fenders but no major body rust, doors are solid, frame is solid. It really needs a paint job and a little rust work. That is why I purchased it in the first place because it was is great shape. There is a minor vaccum issue and a minor electrical issue, but thats why it is so reasonablly priced and negociable. I'd love for this car to go to someone who appreciates it and will finish what ive started. Pics available upon request. Ben

Ohhhh man if I had the money I'd be all over this to save it from the crusher! I'd love to pick it up but I'm not sure how the parents would think about it seeing as they already have my 2 300SDs sitting in the driveway (CT, an hour away) waiting for a drivetrain swap...Good luck, I really hope someone picks it up.

If you can hold on to it until mid august I'll definitely give you $700 or so for it. That's when I'll be back in the US and I need a good DD so my W124 doesn't have to endure campus life!
It'd be a shame to let a good-running w123 go to the crusher.

fellas im holding out hope someone will rescue Zuker from the boneyard. I wil accept any reasonable offer ($500 or more for the car alone) and parts are up for discussion and, no, i will not sell everything for 500, the total parts cost alone is over 500.
