My car is at AAA mechanic in Orlando FL..I am 3 hrs drive away in Boca Raton, FL
My son drove up for a weekend and the radiator connection and a hose cracked.
We had a new radiator and hose installed. ($500.) Shop then did a gas test and says needs new head gasket. Their estimate $2,800- $3,200. This head work has not been done. Reason is shop tested for A/C leak and says it is the evaporator. A/C blew cold but does have the leak. Estimate: $2,200
Hence the two reasons for me to "cut bait" on what has always been a great ride in one of the classic not so old Mercedes Benz.

If anyone is interested to make an offer for repair or parting out, or has questions, please let me know.

Body in very good condition. All doors /fenders/ trunk / hood / ARE clean. Only ding is small "parking lot" ding on rear drivers side LOWER bumper area.
Paint is still nice with some clearcoat spots compromised/ and light clearcoat streaking on roof paint.

additional Condition: Has new replaced wiring harness / Interior black leather seats and dash still very nice and comfortable. There are no cracks or rips. Pass seat needs switch cleaned or replaced as it is tempermental.

Up till issues this MB was always well maintained. I am the second owner for last 2.5 years.
tires almost new- 3 Coopers 1 Other..

Finally got around to this...

Had the radiator done at AAA shop called Fourniers

They are the ones told me I needed the new head gasket.....and car was not drivable.

I was going to have Pierre drive here from Titusville but I never made it up there to meet him......so I called Charles @ C&D in Kissimmee and had the car towed to his garage for 2nd opinion.

Fourniers (<-- ) wanted 2,800 for the head gasket and labor....Charles estimated the high side if this was necessary would be $1700. with a MB parts.

He checked the engine and my engine is OK..no gasket necessary...I did need a new thermostat.

Picking up the 300e on Friday afternoon.....Amtrak Deerfield Beach to Kissimmee.
